This ornament was made sometime in the late 1960's and was made in West Germant. These Clear glass balls were made with the bottom open so a figural item could be placed inside. These figures were made of foil or cardboard. The one inside this ornament looks to be a thin metal. the base is also a thin piece of metal, maybe tin. This figure is a sphere. It has silver looking beads That go around the sphere once. There are also 5 metal strips to complete the sphere. this figure is hung from a string and can swing around the inside. this ornament is free of any chips or cracks. It measures 3 1/4" around. |
